Asher walked slowly down the corridor to the Captain's cabin. Agari had, since their last time trying to talk to people, gone and talked to the Captain about the situation with powers. In the conversation he'd mentioned Asher's eyesight, and while Asher hadn't been summoned to the Captain's quarters he'd felt it would be beneficial to show her his power himself.... which really wasn't worth much at the moment, but Asher wasn't one to complain.
Asher walked, his glasses in his shirt pocket as he had habitually tried to put them on again this morning. He didn't need them anymore, and that confused him as much as the fact that he could see more detail than he ever remembered being able to pick up before. He didn't know how good his eyesight was, but it was hard to measure more-than-perfect vision. Agari was at least helping him try to find it out.
He raised a hand and knocked on the door. Then he paused and ran the same hand over his hair making sure it was flattened out. He took a quick look over his clothes - jeans, a white a-shirt, and a button down shirt that was only buttoned part way up - to make sure they were in order too. He wasn't sure why, but if he was presenting himself to the Captian he felt like he might as well make a good impression. Maybe he was just half afraid that a bad one would get him kicked off the ship.

Liara tossed and turned. She had been trying to sleep, trying being the key word. It wasn't working too well. She had headaches constantly lately and every time she'd try to sleep it off, she got more random flashes of what was possibly the future. All in all it wasn't going very well.
She then got up startled. Her head was still hurting. There had been knocking on her door. She sat on her bed, not really wanting to go up and answer it. There needs to be an off button for weird dreams..... she thought to herself. After pausing for another moment, she began to get up only to sit back down. Her head hurt too much at the moment. So she then called out, "Asher, go ahead and let yourself in. Door's not locked,"
Wait, was she even sure that's who was on the other side of her door? For some reason she knew she was right......

Asher heard her call to him through the door and froze for a moment. She.... How did she know it was me? He hadn't even introduced himself, then again he thought he remembered Agari mentioning something about the Captain potentially having the ability to see the future. Agari defined them as powers, like superheros, but Asher really didn't feel that powerful with what he could do. More than perfect vision was hardly a superpower.
Asher took a deep breath and opened the door, stepping into the Captains quarters. He glanced at her, sitting in the bed, with a still somewhat startled expression on his face. "I think we just confirmed you seeing the future, Captain. There's no way you could have known that was me. I didn't tell anyone I was coming here, I didn't introduce myself, and I was behind a closed door yet you somehow still called the correct name."
He shook his head, getting somewhat off track of why he was here. "But yes, I am Asher. I'm the one Agari mentioned to you. We still haven't quite figured out how good my vision is, but it's a radical improvement compared to the fact that I needed to wear glasses when I boarded the ship. Now I can see better without them than I ever could with them."
He stopped talking there. No need to sound like he was rambling. Besides, the Captain really didn't look so good and he kind of had the feeling having less for her to take in was a good thing.

Liara looked over and watched as the door opened. Asher had a startled expression on his face. She didn't blame him, hell she was still surprised she had said the right name. How had she been able to do that? Could she really see the future? It was looking more and more evident that she could. How could this have happened?
She shook her head. She could think about this later, when Asher was gone and when her head didn't hurt like it did right now. For now she needed to focus on what Asher came for the best she could. He was talking about how he had apparently gotten improved vision. "So, your sight has improved dramatically is what you're saying right?" she asked him.
She then thought an important question. "When did you notice your sight began improving?" she asked him. "Maybe if we start figuring that out, we can start finding out why this is happening...."

"Yes, that's precisely what I'm saying," said Asher, answering the question in a serious tone. For some reason he was a little more prone to be rigid and serious around this woman, if only to make a good impression. After all, she did have the power to throw him off this ship if she so chose.
Her next question took a bit more thinking. "Well," he began, "the first sign I noticed was I was starting to get headaches. I didn't realize they were related to my vision improving, hence wearing my glasses became like wearing a prescription for some other person's eye wear, until I met Agari and I took them off....." His words trailed off. He decided she didn't need, and hadn't really asked, for the whole story of how he'd found his powers. She just wanted when he'd noticed the signs.
"The headaches got progressively worse as time went on and they started....." This time his words didn't trail off on purpose. He'd never thought to ask Agari when he'd started noticing things, nor did he know what the situation was for the Captain. He knew when he'd started getting headaches though. It can't be connected.... can it?
"The headaches started shortly after Earthfall," he finished. It could just be a coincidence, couldn't it? The fact that this started so shortly following that particular major event? He wasn't sure. He'd have to know more about the cases of Agari and the Captian - who, whether or not she thought she powers, Asher had decided did have a premonition power of some sort.
"Just a guess here, and I'll have to ask Agari about him, but when did your 'weird dreams' start, Captain? If it was close to Earthfall.... well, I may be jumping to conclusions, but one or two things starting near a certain event can be a coincidence. More than that, and you may be looking at a pattern, in which case these phenomena may extend to more than just the passengers of The Destiny."
