Physical Description:
Xander stands at about 5’ 10” and is the shortest in his family aside from his mother. He makes up for it broad shoulders and having the most muscle mass. That is where the physical differences end. From his father’s side he inherited eye shape and color (and possibly his glare). His angular face shape, tan and broad nose come from his Mother’s side.
When it comes to dress he would love to dress casual. Most of the time he has to dress professionally or more presentable than the average citizen for his father. He has more suits than he cares to think about and tends to stick to darker tones with them. On the off chances he did get to wear his preferred clothing it is bright, and a tad bit baggy.
Personality:
The first thing to know about Xander is that he is the way he is because he is that way. What has happened to him throughout his life only served to sharpen the edge that was already there. In groups he is Xander tends to be standoffish and stare at the others like he’s looking for the weakest of the heard to attack. When in a position to speak he rarely uses tact, preferring sarcasm in its place. He doesn’t really bond with most people given that most of his encounters are brief and usually for his dad’s political or business needs. In company he is more comfortable to talk with he will chat for long stretches of time usually about nothing just to give the illusion of sharing information.
Despite his abrasive exterior he does have a good heart. Unfortunately only his Mother and Stepmother are truly aware of this fact. Partly it is the fact it manifests in sometimes brutal honesty. When he has gotten to the point of caring about someone’s well being he will traditionally do what he feels is best for them, if they want him to or not. He is stubbornly loyal to those he cares about and will do just about anything for them if asked. However if someone who did not fall into this category asks they will probably get a string of curses and then a pointed “no”.
History:
Xander was born to a single mother Adaiti Tae on Earth and lived there happily for several years. He worked to behind the scenes in her shop mostly cleaning and organizing. When he wasn’t at school or at home he would work there and listen to his mother tell him stories or sell to customers. As a result, he grew up very close to her and looked up to her immensely. She often told him that life wasn’t simple, but never really believed her until his father showed up when he was 12 years old.
Andreas Sho was an important man who frequently traveled to Earth for business and relations. He was in certain circles what one would consider important if only for the family name. The Sho family was former royalty that moved into the business world during a political shift, though they still kept some of the flare from the glory days. Despite this the Sho line was near its end and the Sho’s, Andreas and Jolie, had yet to produce an heir of their own. As the likeliness of having a child of their own grew slimmer Andreas found himself growing more desperate. On a business trip to Earth he stopped by Adaiti’s shop and the two promptly began having a loud argument.
When the argument ended Xander found himself being taken off planet with Andreas. The mansion he found himself in was a sharp contrast to his life on Earth. Sho wanted Xander to be his heir, to show others there was still life in the line. Unfortunately for him Xander was stubborn and slow to fall into the role assigned to him. Eventually he learned life was easier if he just amused his father. If he just stood in the background at family functions he could get out of the house more often. It wasn’t until he discovered he was betrothed to a girl he had never meet closely followed by the disappearance of his home planet that broke the peace in the Sho household.

Jolie sat on the back of a couch carding her fingers through her stepson’s hair. Xander hadn’t said a word since he’d heard the news, which disturbed her. He could usually talk to her about anything and his silence was concerning.
“I’m sure she’s alright,” she tried, “The UIR are probably working on what happened. Everything will be back to normal back to normal soon enough.”
“You know when the last time I saw her was?”
She paused at his muffled question before continuing to pet his hair, “Xander you talked to her every day, and there was nothing you could do.”
The hand on the replica clock on the wall ticked softly across the room. Neither of them moved from their location until Jolie heard the door footsteps down the hall. She gave one last pat before standing up and going to meet her husband.
“Morning,” he said without looking up from his tablet, “Sorry for taking so long, travel log I suppose. Going to get over it I suppose-“
“Andreas,” she said calmly.
“-Earth is three hours ahead, coming from four hours behind. Yes this is shaping up to be an interesting conference. Can you ask someone to get the coffee ready?”
“Andreas,” she repeated this time with more force in her voice.
He looked up with a question in his eyes and Jolie took the glass tablet. She tapped on the news alert Andreas typically ignored. Handing it back she sighed, “Your conference has been canceled”.
“Holy Father,” he gasped as he started reading the bulletin, “James, was already there. Cameron lived there, the other holders were there.”
“Family,” Jolie hinted.
He frowned in confusion at first. His frown deepened when it dawned on him what his wife meant. Looking into the main hall he asked, “How’s he taking it?”
“How would you take it?”
“I’d say differently. You’ve met my mother Jolie, I probably would have been relieved.”
She sent him a glare before leaving, “I’ll go get your coffee started.”
