Profession (Current): Civilian with hopes of becoming something more (aka: I would like to change this in the future, I just labled him at such because he's not sure of what to become at this time.)
Profession (Past): Student
Marital Status: Single
Home World: Glace Au Four
Religious Beliefs: Asher was raised in a Monotheistic religion and he continues to follow it, though he does have his doubts sometimes about what kind of god is really out there or if there is one.
Socioeconomic Status: Middleclass
Cultural Upbringing: One of the biggest things Asher was taught growing up was respect, though this belief was slightly twisted by his parents who tried to use it to say he should become who they wanted him to. He still shows a base amount of respect to people and more can be earned based on his impressions of you. He was also taught to never give up, which manifested into a stubborn, determined streak in his personality.
Physical Description: Asher stands about 5' 5", which feels relatively tall to him despite actually being fairly average. He has very fair skin from being raised all his life in the caves of Glace Au Four. He has grey eyes and his hair is a light shade somewhere midway between brown and dishwater blond. He keeps it long enough that he has bangs, but short enough to stay out of the way.
Prior to Earthfall Asher wore glasses (he won't need them anymore when he gets his power). He wears clothes that tend to come from many varieties of styles becuase he's never really settled on a personal look. About the only real style choice he made was piercing his ear, and sometimes he wonders about that.
Personality: One of Asher's biggest personality traits is that he's stubborn and determined. If he sets his mind to it, he either won't give up without a fight or he carries through with it. Which of those options it is usually depends on what he was trying to do. Changing his mind isn't easy, and it's one of the reasons he hasn't looked back on his decision to leave home.
Asher is very lost as to who he is. He's confused, but it leaves him always willing to try new things. He has become something of a jack-of-all-trades for as long as a new idea or phase suits him, but he feels like he has to be open, or he'll never find who he's meant to be.
Asher's strongest trait outside of his openess and determination is bravery. His weakest are his stubborn resistance and his lack of faith in himself. The second is due to having always had someone tell him who he is. Without that there anymore, he has to tell himself and he's not always sure about the answer.
History: Asher was raised in the warmth of the caves beneath the surface of Glace Au Four. True, the surface wasn't the greatest, but he wasn't too crazy about going up there on the best of days. About the only thing that tempted him was the stars, because he couldn't get enough of seeing the sky with living below the ground so much.
Asher was raised as an only child by his mother and father. While they raised him to be a decent person, that also meant that they foised off all their hopes and dreams on him. For most of his life he was raised to believe he'd be a doctor just like his dad, but after a year of college he realized that it wasn't for him.
The problem with discovering he wasn't cut out to be a doctor, was Asher didn't know what he should be. His parents had always told him who he was, and he was finding that person wasn't the real him for the first time. With no idea where to find who he was, he set out on his own. His destination: the stars, the one place he thought the answer he wanted might lay. With his plan in mind, Asher rounded up the savings he'd had for college and boarded a ship as a civilian leaving behind his home.
RP Sample: Sara went to the kitchen and heated up the bowl of oatmeal. He should be able to handle it. If not, I think he'll be smart enough to eat it slowly. At some point while she was heating the oatmeal and covering it with tinfoil so it would stay warm, Serena came in and heated some oatmeal for herself. She seemed distracted and really didn't seem to pay much attention to Sara. It was kind of sad since Serena was one of her close friends in the faction, but they were all kind of out of it lately.
Sara was carrying the oatmeal toward the bathroom when she heard Serena go down the hall yelling Tim's name. As she made her way back to the fiction section she could hear as Serena talked to Tim and Layla. "Serena, dear," she said coming into the room. "You just threw oatmeal on the guy Layla found collapsed on the lawn. We were trying to help him out. He was in the bathroom because Layla showed him the way there."
This, apparently, was what happened when a group of people lived in a large place. It took a while for word to get around. And that didn't seem like a good thing at the moment. "I suppose we should go see how he is now. He startled Serena and I can imagine she startled him too."
